As we’ve already seen the new R-Class from Mercedes proved a very convincing exterior design. In the interior things are also pretty good. Space variability, comfort or luxury, the new R-Class has all of it in the right proportions.

The interior of the R-Class is dominated by the same calm atmosphere that the exterior design shows. Its design is based on shapes that seem to flow and overlap each other discreetly.

R-Class counts on versatility

The new R-Class comes with two available wheelbase options: the normal one and a long-wheelbase one. As standard, the car has five seats, but you can choose whether your R-Class model should have seven, sic or even four seats. Basically there are two rows of seats, and you can add a third row of seats if you like, to obtain a maximum of seven seats. On the second row of seats, the middle one can be turned into a convenient armrest. This way a four seats or six seats configuration could be achieved.

The driver and the front passenger have power adjustable seats as a standard feature. Optionally you can order multicontour seats with ventilation, heating, integral power adjustment and memory for seat positions.

With the R-Class you don’t have to worry about moving lots of stuff around or having lots of luggage when going on a trip or during a vacation.

The versatility of the car is completed by a large luggage compartment which has an enormous maximum capacity of 1950 litres for the standard version and a maximum of 2385 litres for the R-Class in the long wheelbase version.

You can notice that by folding the second row of seats, not only you achieve a huge loading capacity for your stuff, but you can do it conveniently on a perfectly plane surface.

R-Class interior atmosphere dominated by comfort and luxury

The potential customer of the R-Class can customize the way the interior of the car looks and feels, by choosing between material combinations like Aspen fabric or ARTICO leather. To make it even more enjoyable you can fit the car with a panoramic glass sunroof.

The new R-Class has an audio system with CD changer and a 5 inch color display equipped with eight loudspeakers which also integrates a hands-free system with Bluetooth. An iPod can be easily connected via the available Aux-in socket.

Should you desire more than the standard audio system, you can have the latest Harman Kardon Logic7 for something extra. For music lovers this could be a must have, especially on this kind of car.

The entire entertainment system of the car can be upgraded with two 8 inch screens in the back and a DVD player with wireless headsets, so that nobody gets bored during long trips.

While the passengers of the new Mercedes-Benz R-Class have more than enough entertainment options, the driver could enjoy another fine optional in the form of the COMAND APS system with 6 disc capacity of the CD changer, a bigger 6.5 inch display, a 4 GB included memory capacity for music files and even a memory card slot in case you want to store more music in the system.

The COMAND APS has also a DVD player and includes a compass and a voice control system, well known under the name of Linguatronic.

With it’s interior design and rich features, the new R-Class seems to redefine the standards for cruising relaxed and comfortable together with your family or friends, in a an atmosphere lead by tranquility and good mood.
