Honda Jazz Hybrid has been announced by Honda to be premiered in September 2010 at the Paris Motor Show. It seems that hybrid cars are gaining popularity which we believe is quite encouraging news. The hybrid system used by the new Jazz Hybrid will be the same with those found on Honda’s Insight and CR-Z hybrid models. Having a background of almost twenty years of development and ten years of sales which lead to half a million cars using this hybrid system, the reliability of this technology is ensured.
The new Honda Jazz Hybrid will be powered by the 1.3 litre i-VTEC engine just like the Honda Insight hybrid. The electric motor will be placed between the petrol engine and the CVT gearbox, in what is called a parallel hybrid system configuration. At low up to medium speeds the car will be able to run on electric energy alone.
The Jazz hybrid will have a renewed appearance with a new front grille, and redesigned bumpers. The headlights will be restyled having a blue surround, the rear lights will be clear and there will be a new color available for the Jazz hybrid, the Lime Green metallic. The prices and specifications of the new Jazz hybrid are not yet known, since it will go on sale in Europe in the first part of 2011.
