One of two new BMW X3 models announced at this date is the BMW X3 xDrive35i. This X3 model is powered by a 3 litre six cylinder engine with 306 hp and a torque value of 400 Nm available from 1300 rpm. This engine combines the already successful technologies developed by BMW like TwinPower Turbo, High Precision Injection and VALVETRONIC variable valve control technology.
Already known for its efficient and performing engines, the new BMW X3 xDrive35i is capable of acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds reaching a top speed of 245 km/h. This level of performance is outstanding for this SAV. In fact, these performance figures certify this new BMW X3 xDrive35i as a Sports Activity Vehicle. If you expect this to be a hungry engine, you are wrong, since the average consumption is only 8.8 litres for 100 km. The engine is also compliant with EU5 standard.
BMW X3 xDrive35i comes out with an eight speed automatic transmission which enables smooth gear changes and an efficient engine use.
