New BMW 5 Series Sedan Design Review
31 Dec 2009
I have already published my first impressions on the new BMW 5 Series Sedan, but I left the discussion open since there is much to say about the design of the new 5 Series Sedan. The most striking thing about it is the way BMW managed to create a design for the 5 Series that integrates so harmoniously this car in the BMW model range. It is obvious for anybody the way the new BMW 5 Series blends in right between 3 Series and 7 Series models. Even if you see the car for the first time, you can tell right from the start it is a BMW, and if you have a little knowledge on cars you could guess it has to be a 5 Series. For anyone who had seen the car once, it is hard to believe that he won’t recognize it the next time he will see it. Read the rest of this entry »

The year 2009 proved like a turning point in the history of the automobile. This year we have witnessed more hybrid models than ever, either being released on the market or announced as in development phase. The cars of tomorrow will be more efficient than we could expect. Mercedes, as always, is writing its own page of history with its S Class exponent of efficiency, the S 400 HYBRID model.
New Volvo S 60 first official photos
11 Nov 2009
Here are the first official photos of the new Volvo S 60. The first observation that can be made is that the car looks a lot like the concept revealed some time ago. And this is a good thing since the concept itself was good looking. In fact many designs of various car makers look great when they are still in the concept phase, but when they come into production the resemblance with the original is vague. Fortunately this is not the case of the new Volvo S 60, the car looks amazing. Read the rest of this entry »

I am sure there are enough people who just love a Benz, even more might love AMG, or at least might be impressed by it’s achievements, but I am not so sure if there is one single person who loves a safety car, especially seeing it on a Formula 1 track during a race. What is that safety car doing? It is ruining the race! That’s the reaction that most people I know have when they see it coming on the track. In all the excitement of the race, most of us are unlikely to notice the safety car itself. At best, we might only see that it goes fast and all the other Formula 1 cars are following it and everybody wants for it to just go where it came from, and let the race continue. It is a very normal behavior for any Formula 1 enthusiast but it is exactly this behavior that might have kept you away from discovering the great, specially tuned and equipped Mercedes – Benz SL 63 AMG that serves as a safety car. And yes, now you can find all about it. Read the rest of this entry »
Mercedes C 63 AMG performance upgrade
28 Oct 2009
The successful C 63 AMG model has now increased performance due to the Performance Package Plus. This new optional feature is available to the sports drivers with a constant demand for more power and it increases the C 63 AMG engine’s output by 30 hp up to a smashing value of 487 hp! This amazing result is very close to the level of performance offered by C Class DTM racing cars which deliver 500 hp. With a little more effort AMG could have made a road car faster than a professional racing car. Since this performance package is available for both saloon and estate models the picture that automatically comes to my mind is a Mercedes C 63 AMG featuring the Performance Package Plus coming to the race track out of nowhere and leaving the professional DTM racing cars behind. But, enough with this kind of fantasies and let’s see why this performance upgrade for the C63 AMG is so great. Read the rest of this entry »
